Description Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide individual nutrition services for Penn State students. The dietitian reports directly to an assistant director. Primary responsibilities include delivering nutrition services, conducting nutrition education programs and developing nutrition-related health communication materials. The individual will collaborate with staff from University Health Services and Counseling and Psychological Services on nutritional aspects of patient care and will serve on team-based initiatives to deliver high quality care and services. The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards for practice within parameters set by relevant professional groups, state and federal agencies and accreditation bodies. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree or equivalent in nutrition or related field is preferred. Candidate should have a knowledge of standard clinical nutrition practice and behavior modification. Candidate should have experienceworking with patients with eating disorders. Commitment to working with diverse populations is essential. Strong communication skills including writing, individual counseling and public speaking are required. Requires active registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
