Assistant Research Professor

Description The laboratory of Professor Lasse Jensen in the Chemistry Department at the Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill an Assistant Research Professor position to develop new electronic structure methods for describing the optical properties of molecules near plasmonic metal surfaces. The position requires a Ph.D. in the area of theoretical or computational chemistry as well as experience in electronic structure simulations and method development. Experience in developing embedding methods, and performing simulations using both molecular and periodic quantum chemistry codes related to surface-enhanced Raman scattering are desired.
