Human Resources Manager (Manager, HR Services)

Description Penn State Human Resources is seeking an HR Manager to oversee the operations of the HR Services group, a team of approximately 15 individuals that serve as the first point of contact for HR related questions and concerns for the Penn State University community. Additionally, this position serves as a key resource in addressing complex issues, resolving customer concerns, identifying process improvements, escalating issues to appropriate groups, communicating unit, HR, and University goals and ensuring high-quality best practice data and HR Services activities. As the manager, this leader will provide direct supervision to the team coordinators; monitor the customer service, productivity and quality performance of the HR Services team; and implement changes in process and staffing, as appropriate. This individual will collaborate with the HR Community and key stakeholders to actively engage in the continuous improvement of processes and programs. The HR Manager will be responsible for leveraging HR's inquiry management system, as well as other tools and resources, for maximum efficiency - including data analysis and reporting. This individual will engage in the development of key competencies across the organization as well as training and communication activities that ensure employees are informed and prepared to support their customers. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
