Postdoctoral Scholar

The laboratory of Dr. Deb Kelly in the Biomedical Engineering department and the Center for Structural Oncology at the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences is seeking to fill multiple Postdoctoral Scholar positions. Scholars will work at the cutting-edge of cryo-Electron Microscopy (EM) and human cancer. Duties of the position include developing new tools and technology to determine high-resolution structural information for protein assemblies involved in cancer susceptibility and DNA damage repair. Experience in structural, molecular, and cellular biology or computational analysis is preferred. Candidates holding a Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent level of expertise in life sciences or materials research are encouraged to apply. Scholars will conduct biophysical experiments along with cryo-EM imaging and computing tasks while pursing creative solutions to outsmart human cancer. Other duties include mathematical data analysis, preparing manuscripts for publication, and contributing to the NIH grant-writing experience. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
