Human Resources Manager

Description The Manager for Part-Time Talent Acquisition will provide leadership and guidance for all recruiting and sourcing activities associated with part-time employment across the University's campuses. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, this position will plan, direct, and manage a staff of recruiting and sourcing professionals focused on recruitment for part-time academic, staff, and technical service employees. The successful candidate will establish standards and protocols to deliver extraordinary recruitment and sourcing services to clients; develop innovative recruitment strategies to create diverse high-quality candidate pools based on current and future University needs; provide guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices; investigate, analyze, and resolve recruitment-related issues; provide oversight of recruitment and employment life cycles to ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal laws; as well as supervise, develop, and mentor recruitment and sourcing staff. The position will also work collaboratively with other HR Shared Services and professional services groups to implement recruiting and sourcing best practices, and provide two-way communications opportunities with HR Strategic Partners and HR Consultants to discuss needs and solicit feedback for continuous improvement of services. The Manager, Part-Time Talent Acquisition requires extensive knowledge of employment laws and a high level of expertise regarding effective HRprocesses, practices, and systems in recruitment service delivery; the ability to develop a high degree of trust and credibility with relevant stakeholders, including HR Strategic Partners and HR consultants, faculty, managers, and staff. The successful candidate will also possess a high level of diplomacy to persuade and influence a wide variety of people at various levels to achieve positive results; demonstrated competence to exercise sound judgment when making decisions; the ability to develop and mentor staff; the ability to develop and implement effective solutions to highly complex issues that may have University-wide impact; and a determination to build best practices that promote a positive customer experience. Demonstrated competencies in the following areas also will be required: superior oral and written communication skills; advanced knowledge of talent acquisition strategies; a collaborative and flexible decision-making style; a demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity; and the vision to assess and proactively lead organizational change based on changing needs. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
