Reporting to the Associate Director of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Assistant Director works closely with the fraternity and sorority community, including active members, chapter advisers, alumni and national headquarters to create a collaborative environment which fosters the success of students involved in fraternity and sorority life. While providing broad leadership and support to the four Greek Governing Councils (Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council) and individual chapter leaders, this position will serve as the primary advisor to the Interfraternity Council. In that capacity, the Assistant Director advises the council leadership and works closely with a group of fraternity presidents to support their chapters' success in upholding and achieving individual chapter goals and responsibilities as well as those of the University. The successful candidate will also assist in the development and implementation of educational and leadership programs and a number of signature programs, such as Greek Week, Greek Sing, Emerging Leaders, and the Annual Greek Column Awards. The Assistant Director will collaborate with other members of Fraternity & Sorority Life, Fraternity & Sorority Compliance, and Student Affairs to promote leadership development, philanthropic and community service experiences for fraternity and sorority students, and will respond to risk issues involving members and organizations recognized by the Councils. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Outstanding communication and organizational skills, experience working with fraternities and sororities, and membership in or significant experience with a Greek-letter social organization are highly desired. This position may require that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
