The Alumni Relations Office in the Penn State World Campus is a member of the Development and Alumni Relations team in Outreach and Online Education. The overarching focus will be on the planning and implementation of all alumni activities and events ? especially by creating opportunities for engagement online ? that complement the goals and priorities of the Vice Provost for Online Education and the unit's Development and Alumni Relations Office. Responsible for the administration and coordination of alumni activities including alumni volunteer training, providing alumni speakers, promotional materials, and files and records maintenance. Plan and attend World Campus Alumni Society Board of Directors meetings and ensure the successful development and implementation of the society's strategic plan, actions, and programs. Organize and implement Alumni Society Board committee activities such as social media engagement and other alumni communications; actively supporting the World Campus Blue and White Society; and connecting World Campus Alumni to the global Penn State Alumni network. Serve as liaison between World campus Alumni and the Penn State Alumni Association. Initiate, plan, manage and staff Vice Provost's receptions, and alumni events, both on and off-campus. Plan itineraries for World Campus Alumni award winners in conjunction with their academic colleges. Develop and initiate new alumni programming imperatives to increase alumni involvement and engagement. Plan and implement alumni programs and activities including reunions, campus visits, tours and presentations. Manage networking database of 15,000 World Campus Alumni. Manage budgets of the program. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Occasional travel is required. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); familiarity with using alumni data platforms to engage and track alumni engagement and familiarity with web-based informational and business processes preferred. A strong understanding of alumni relations required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
