Penn State Beaver Continuing Education is seeking part-time adjunct engineering faculty to teach within our Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Review course and PE Civil Review Courses. These courses are offered to prepare engineers to succeed when taking their professional examinations. EIT topics are units, materials science/chemistry, mathematics, electrical circuits, statics, computers, mechanics of materials, engineering ethics and economics, dynamics, practice exam/wrap up, thermodynamics/heat transfer. Civil PE topics include math concepts, economics, measurements, and instrumentation, geotechnical, structures, hydraulics, water supply, sanitary, solid/hazardous waste management, transportation, final review and exam-taking techniques. The courses will be held in the Oil City Area. For all positions, an advanced degree in an appropriate discipline, from an accredited institution is required. Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred. A teaching demonstration may be required as part of the on-campus interview.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
