JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly motivated, technology-oriented individual to fill a Systems Administrator 3 position within its Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. The IAM Authentication team is responsible for enterprise applications that manage and protect digital identities at the University, including authentication and directory systems. This position will be instrumental in implementing security-related services and tools for Penn State's CyberArk privileged access management solution. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated background in Linux system administration, a strong understanding of networking concepts, IT service implementations, and information security best practices and principles. Duties include monitoring service resources, interfacing with University organizations to resolve service-related issues, upgrading/patching a robust multi-environment infrastructure, testing failover, building new connection components for customer use, writing and managing related documentation, and processing support requests. Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to effectively work on difficult assignments both independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team; possess strong problem-solving skills; enthusiastically learn new skills and technologies; handle multiple priorities with close attention to detail; and possess excellent oral and written communication skills allowing interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with Windows system administration, a basic understanding of RestAPI, familiarity with Shell Scripting, and management of the CyberArk Core PAS solution preferred but not required. Because CyberArk is a critical service, this position participates in a 24x7x365 rotation. This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position also requires the successful candidate to maintain a level of discretion and confidentiality with sensitive matters. The successful candidate must be able to pass a background check. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
