JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The College of Health and Human Development, Information Systems and Services (ISS) Team is seeking a talented and experienced candidate for an Information Technology Consultant 3 position. This position would service approximately 1100 full and part-time employees (faculty and staff) in 8 academic departments and 4 research centers. ISS supports over 1700 PC endpoints. The College occupies 10 buildings and 15 locations, both on and off campus. This position serves as the primary liaison between faculty, staff and graduate students and the College's IT Team ISS, advising our constituents on the use of technology in their teaching, research, and learning endeavors. The successful candidate will be able to:
Develop and maintain an accurate understanding of the work performed in the College and roles of technology. Process orders, purchase IT equipment, track timelines of deliverables, and keep our college associates updated. Research present and future technologies and recommend upgrades and enhancements as needed. Install, test, evaluate, and troubleshoot new technologies to ensure the product/system is functioning and meets the requirements. Deliver timely and sustainable technology solutions that resourcefully solve complex challenges. Develop requests for proposals and evaluate vendor products. Recommend and contribute to the development of procedures and guidelines that improve efficiency and effectiveness of the IT services designed and delivered to the college by ISS. Be comfortable massaging data in Excel. Provide expertise in the implementation of a variety of products or service technologies. Work effectively on independent assignments as well as team-based activities. Serve as a liaison between a non-technical audience and vendors. Be cognizant of data security protocols that apply to the work performed for the College. Provide training for our partners in new technology/systems/ and software. Assist with the operation and maintenance of College Tech Spaces This position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A deep knowledge of PC operating systems, both Mac and PC, along with Office productivity applications such as Excel, O365, SharePoint and OneDrive is expected. Sound judgment, effective problem-solving skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail are needed. It would be helpful to have an interest in emerging Cloud and storage technologies. Preferred Skills Familiarity with the PSU software systems that support procurement:
System for Integrated Management, Budgeting, and Accounting (SIMBA), Shop OnLion, Concur. Familiarity with the PSU policies and guidelines for procurement. Experience with IT service management tools/suites such as LanSweeper and ServiceNow. Project management experience and/or certification. ITIL awareness and/or certification. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
