OB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Smeal College of Business is seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join the infrastructure team. This position will be located in the Business building but there currently is flexibility to work in a hybrid working model of both in person and remote, as long as that is supported by the college and the university. This position will work on college specific projects that involve endpoint administration, vulnerability assessment and remediation, virtualization, and lab computing. Duties include:
Plan and develop processes and workflows to manage all endpoints efficiently, securely, and consistently for faculty and staff Ensure machines are patched, updated, and adhere to PSU security policy Manage 4 Smeal owned physical labs which will require writing automation with various scripting language and supporting courses and research Manage and support Smeal's Virtual Lab infrastructure and meet with various stakeholders to ensure the environment meets the needs of faculty Work with other members of the Infrastructure team to deliver services and solutions to the entire college Preference will be given to candidates with the following specialized
Experience:
BigFix, VMware Workspace One, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM), and/or similar tools MacOS/iOS systems administration Windows and Linux server administration Microsoft Azure solutions, such as Azure Files, Windows Virtual Desktop, and Azure networking VMware Horizons Active Directory integration and group policy management Demonstrated scripting/development with PowerShell, .NET, Python, Swift, and/or similar languages and tools Experience with Splunk, Nessus Agents, and Defender ATP Familiarity with Enterprise Active Directory (EAD); network management; ITIL/IT service management best practices, including working with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow; and experience interpreting and implementing security policies is preferred. A strong commitment to customer service, substantial technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving analysis and critical thinking skills, quality verbal and written communication and presentation skills, self-motivation to learn new things quickly and independently, and high performance in a team environment are required. This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus 4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
